Very Rare Glazed Redware Presentation Mug, Stamped Twice "C. BACH," Allentown, PA origin, circa 1890, semi-ovoid mug with tooled bands and applied rounded handle, the surface coated in reddish-brown manganese slip with overlying cream-colored slip and a clear lead glaze. The owner's initials "W.G.S." are incised into the front. The rare maker's mark of Allentown, PA potter, Charles W. Bach, which reads simply "C. BACH," is impressed twice into the underside. A fine example of Pennsylvania redware. Excellent condition with small nicks to rim. H 4 1/2".
