Bellarmine Stoneware Jug with Bearded Man and Floral Medallion, German origin, 17th century, ovoid form with tall neck and heavily-tooled spout, decorated with the applied face of a bearded man and a medallion with floral interior. Surface dipped in a reddish-brown iron slip and covered in a salt glaze. Entire spout including neck broken off and reglued. Handle broken into two pieces and reglued. Chipping to foot. Loss to top of spout. H 8 1/2".
