One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Southern Stoneware Jar, possibly Edgefield, SC, 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flared rim, covered in a pale-greenish and mottled brown alkaline glaze. Interior includes a small ledge to hold a lid. Impressed "1". 2 1/2" x 5/8" piece of kiln furniture adhered to surface. H 10 1/2".
