One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower design around the shoulder. Rim slumped during the firing. Hairlines on underside, two of which extend partway up sides of jar. H 10 1/8".
