Rare Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated front and back with a large brushed flower. Mint condition. 3" separation on interior, not visible on exterior. Additional approximately 3" hairline in rim. Minor rim chip. Some minor glazed over base chips. H 16".
