Glazed Redware Lidded Batter Pitcher, PA or New England origin, 19th century, ovoid form with pouring spout, rounded foot, and applied strap, the surface decorated with sponged manganese under a clear lead glaze. Impressed "1 1/2" on underside. Includes original lead-glazed lid. Provenance: Recently found in New England. Lid with edge chips and wear to knob. Pitcher itself in excellent condition with a minor nick to interior of rim. H (including lid) 7".
