Twelve-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Eagle Decoration, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO. PA.," circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and lug handles, decorated with the stenciled bust of a Federal eagle, with various stenciled flourishes and freehand stripes. A desirable design. Provenance: Laurence Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. Three chips to one handle. Small nick to opposite handle. Stone ping with 3 1/4" hairline from rim. 18 1/2" crack extending up front. Cracks on underside extending onto base. Flake off underside. H 21 1/2".
