Large-Sized Stoneware Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, approximately six-gallon, semi-ovoid jar with banded midsection, rounded rim, and applied handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip and three stripes. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. 8" spider line under one handle. Heavy chipping to one handle. Two chips to opposite handle. 2" in-the-firing separation on interior of rim. Shallow, in-the-firing 1" chip on interior of rim. H 17".
