Desirable size. Dated stoneware from Western PA is unusual. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from a Virginia home. 1 1/2" hairline on underside, continuing 3 1/4" up reverse side of jar. Very minor 1/2" line at base on front, which probably occurred in the firing. H 10 3/4".
