Two Stoneware Pieces with Bird Decorations, second half 19th century, a six-gallon crock with bird design, stamped "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE N Y," paired with a two-gallon jug with spotted bird design, stamped "S. HART / FULTON." Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Caire crock broken and restored, with damage extending through decoration. Hart jug missing handle, has staining to surface, a small spout chip, and a thin line in spout. H (of Caire crock) 9" ; Diameter (of Caire crock) 13 3/4".
