Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flaring rim, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt tulip design, featuring a dashed blossom and leaves. Small rim chip on exterior. Light wear on interior of rim where a lid would rest. Much of surface has been repainted, without touching the decoration. H 9 1/2".
