Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a cobalt two-stemmed floral design on the front and back. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Numerous sealed cracks in underside, extending partway up sides of jar. Additional crazing to surface. Rim chips. H 12 1/4".
