Yellowware Canning Jar, Impressed "E. BENNETT'S PATENT / Dec. 2 1855," Edwin Bennett, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and rim designed to hold a lid, covered in a clear glaze. Base chips. Crack around base, extending onto underside. Heavy chips to rim and interior of rim. Staining to surface. H 6 1/2".
