Two-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.N. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1860, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt floral design featuring a star-shaped blossom and hanging grapes. Spidering cracks in underside, one of which extends up front 6 1/4". Additional 9" hairline to left of decoration. Oval 2" crack on rim. Contact marks on underside. H 13 1/2".
