Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W.H. FARRAR / GEDDES. N.Y.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of a bird beside a flower. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. 9 3/4" crack from rim on front. Painted touch-up to fry in decoration. 8" reglued wedge from rim on reverse. H 10".
