Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, with rounded foot, curved sides, and oval opening at shoulder, decorated with brushed leafy designs. Chip to opening on top surface. Hairlines extending from opening on top surface. Short hairline at base, extending 1" onto underside. Small base chip. H 4 1/4" ; Diameter 8 1/2".
