Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stenciled "E.B. TAYLOR / Richmond, Va.," circa 1875, cylindrical churn with rounded shoulder, tall collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with two strips of stenciled geometric designs across the center, a "4" flanked by designs at the shoulder, and the words "E.B. Taylor / Richmond, Va." at the base. Includes wooden lid and dasher. Churn with rim and handle chips, surface wear, and a top-to-bottom crack from rim on reverse, extending onto underside. H (excluding lid) 16 1/2".
