Fitchburg, Mass. Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "G.S. GUY & CO / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with rounded shoulder and tall spout, stenciled with the cobalt advertising "COBBS BRANCH / FITCHBURG / MASS." Spout chips. Two surface lines on reverse, extending from an in-the-firing chip on underside. A few other short minor lines at base. Small piece of kiln furniture adhered to underside. Handle chip. H 11".
