Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated on both sides with two large double-stemmed clover plants. Group of spidering hairlines from rim, the longest of which measures 5 1/2". Two rim chips. Faint hairlines on underside, one of which extends 1 3/4" onto base. H 12 1/4".
