Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "FULPER BROS., / FLEMNGTON, N.J.," late 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with a large cobalt bird perched on a stylized branch. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. One chip and a small nick to exterior of rim. 7" hairline on underside, extending 1" onto base of reverse and 5 1/2" horizontally at base area of reverse. Minor chip to top of rim. H 7 3/8" ; Diameter 10 3/8".
