One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Pear Decoration, Stenciled "PALATINE POTTERY CO. / PALATINE / W.VA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled cobalt pear between the stenciled words. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. 3" salt drip to right of decoration on front. 2 3/4" x 1" poorly-restored area at base. Base chip. Colored stone ping at base on front. H 10 1/4".
