Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cobalt parrot with crest and paddle-shaped tail, perched on a leaf. Some fry to bottom of decoration. Exfoliation to left side of front of crock. Spots of exfoliation to underside of rim. Exfoliation to top of one handle. Small glazed-over stone ping to rim on reverse. One minor chip to interior of rim and underside of crock. H 11".
