Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock, Stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG," circa 1890, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with cobalt swags. Provenance: Descended in the family of Betty Cooley, the wife of potter, Richard Franklin "Polk" Bell. Horizontal hairline around section of base. Wear to interior of rim. Chip and 2 1/4" hairline from rim. H 12 1/2".
