One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," circa 1865, jug with sloped shoulder and squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird on branch. 4" vertical crack in body of jug. Some fry to tail of bird. Small chip to top of spout. Faint line on underside of midsection of handle, extending partway around to top of handle. Salt drip on reverse. Staining to surface. H 11 1/2".
