Scarce "NORFOLK BEER" Stoneware Mug, probably New York State origin, mid to late 19th century, cylindrical mug with recessed underside and deeply-grooved handle, the handle and impressed words "NORFOLK BEER" accented with cobalt slip. An unusual example of stoneware breweriana. Excellent condition with a 1/2" base chip and a few other very minor base chips. H 5 1/4".
