Rare Rockingham Pottery Lidded Toby Jar, Stamped "Lyman Fenton & Co., / Fenton / ENAMEL, / PATENTED / 1849 / BENNINGTON, Vt.," circa 1850, molded jar in the form of a portly man holding a pitcher, the lid in the form of a hat. Surface covered in streaks of brown over cream-colored clay. Chips to flange on underside of lid. 1" hairline from rim of jar. H (including lid) 3 3/4".
