Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, Albany, NY origin, circa 1815, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a large incised and cobalt-filled flower on each side. Restored area extending from rim to left of decoration on one side. The paint of the restoration includes a portion of one handle. Numerous base chips. Small rim chips and small rim flake. 2" faint diagonal hairline from rim. 2 3/4" crack from rim on interior above one handle, with 1/4" visible above the handle on exterior. H 10 7/8".
