Ovoid Stoneware Jug with Floral Decoration, Dated 1836, probably Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly Midwestern, one-gallon ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout and handle, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering plant with the date "1836" above. Two small base chips and an in-the-firing chip to spout. H 11 7/8".
