One-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, low-walled, cylindrical crock with applied tab handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag design on the front and back. A few minor rim chips. Hairlines in underside, some of which extend onto base area. Hairlines in shoulder. H 5 1/2" ; Diameter 9 3/4".
