Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Morgantown, WV origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled midsection and applied lug handles, decorated with an arching cobalt tulip design, freehand stripes, and a large freehand "3" flanked by wavy lines. Decoration is in the Uniontown style, though the jar bears an impressed Morgantown capacity mark. Near mint condition. H 13 1/4".
