Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W. HART / OGDENSBURGH," circa 1860, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed and brushed cobalt flowering plant design. 10 3/4" crack from rim on reverse. In-the-firing 3" surface line on reverse, extending 1" onto underside. 1 1/2"stone ping to front. Some fry to cobalt. Additional 10 1/2" spidering crack on reverse. Minor wear on interior of rim area. H 16 3/4".
