Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird and Floral Decoration, Stamped “POTTERY WORKS / Little West 12TH ST. NY,� circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a bird with turned head and ringed neck, perched on the stem of a flowering vine. 6� crack from rim on front. Small handle chip. Two chips to rim on reverse. Shallow chip on interior of rim. H 10 1/4�.
