Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY," New York State origin, circa 1830, highly ovoid jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower with curving stem. Near mint condition with two minor base chips, short in-the-firing line on underside, and some bubbling to cobalt. H 14".
