Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER," New York State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, cobalt-decorated with an artistically-rendered, slip-trailed flowering plant design featuring a large blossom, three buds, and several leaves. Three rim chips. Wear to interior of rim where a lid would rest. H 11 5/8".
