Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flowering Urn Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON NY," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant extending from an open-handled urn. Fry to cobalt. Staining to surface. Glazed-over handle chip. 2" x 2" area of flaking on reverse. Three lines on reverse, measuring 4", 2 1/2", and 2", which do not extend through to interior. Hairlines in one handle. 2 1/2" line in underside, which does not extend through to interior. Light flaking to interior base. Small flake to rim on reverse. H 9 1/8".
