Very Rare Stoneware Flask with Cobalt Inscriptions "is that so" and "old unger," probably New York State origin, circa 1820, wheel-thrown flask with flattened sides and rounded spout decorated with a dipped cobalt slip around the base and cobalt below the spout. Further decorated with the cobalt inscription "is that so" and the name "old unger" on opposing sides. As-made condition with dryness to surface and salt drip on edge. H 6 1/2".
