Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Mug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, tall, cylindrical mug or stein with tooled foot and slightly tapering shoulder, decorated with a brushed cobalt clover plant on the front and cobalt stripe at the shoulder. An original hole in the top of the handle allows the mug to be fitted with a metal lid. Approximately 6" vertical hairline from rim on front. H 7".
