Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Incised "Boat Market," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with three groups of cobalt swags around the shoulder. Incised in cobalt-highlighted script "Boat Market" along side of jar. L-shaped crack on underside, continuing 3 3/4" up side of jar in one place and 3/4" in another. H 8 1/4".
