Large Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1850, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated on both sides with a brushed cobalt stem bearing leaves and fan-shaped flowers. Floral decoration under each handle and brushwork below rim and at shoulder. Restoration to cracks, which touches some areas of decoration. Restoration to underside. 2" crack from rim. 2" hairline on underside. Stone ping on one side. H 14 1/2".
