Glazed Redware Jar with Rouletted Decoration, attributed to Jacob Heart, Chambersburg, PA, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled foot, concave shoulder, and slightly flared rim, decorated with rouletted geometric designs around the shoulder and base. Surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Good detail to impressed decoration. Wear to rouletting around shoulder. Minor other wear to surface. Two small rim chips. H 6 3/4".
