Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1880, ovoid form with tubular spout, handle at base on reverse, and applied clay ears holding a wood and metal bail handle. Front decorated with a heavily-shaded design of a flower. Two small spout chips. Long shallow chip to rim, probably in-the-making. Smaller chip to rim. H 9 7/8".
