Three-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Elaborate Floral Decoration, Stamped "J & E NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed flowering plant bearing two large blossoms. Excellent color. X-shaped crack on underside, with a curving crack and thin short line extending from it onto base area. Otherwise mint condition. H 12".
