Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with heavily ribbed handle and squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed floral design including two large blossoms extending from a central stem. Touch mark on front. Small spout chip with a faint 2" line extending through it. Additional tiny spout nick. H 15 1/2".
