Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Greensboro or New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1875, with slightly rounded sides, tooled shoulder, and flattened rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag design at the midsection and cobalt stripes at the shoulder and base. Base chips. Small, in-the-firing chip near base. Bubbling to cobalt. Some staining. H 8 1/4".
