One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1880, with ovoid midsection, flared base, and tall collar, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower design on the front, brushed swags on the sides, and dashed brushwork along the spout. Restoration to spout and top-to-bottom crack extending down from spout. Hairline on underside extending from this restored crack. 1 1/2" line from rim on right side of pitcher. Several base chips. Restored section on left side of front of pitcher. Restored 2 1/2" crack from rim. H 11 1/4".
