One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid-waisted pitcher with flaring base, rounded rim, and holes above and in top of handle, allowing the pitcher to be fitted with a metal lid. Decorated on the front with a two-stemmed floral design and along the spout with vertical swags. Poorly restored lines on front, one of which extends onto right side of pitcher. Tiny base nicks on reverse. H 10 1/2"
