One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, decorated in cobalt with a double-stemmed clover plant extending up the front and leaves around the collar. This pitcher was excavated in West Baltimore. Large loss to collar. Missing handle. 4" spidering hairline on right side, extending vertically from base. Dryness to surface. H 10 1/2".
