Glazed Redware Jar, Baltimore, MD origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar narrow base and flared rim, covered partially in a blackish lead and manganese glaze over whitish clay. Excavated in Baltimore adjacent to the David Brown Pottery, and most likely produced there. Base chip. A few worn spots to rim. Small worn spot to shoulder. Piece of kiln furniture or other piece of redware attached at rim. H 7 1/2".
