One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with applied tab handles and squared rim with inner ledge designed to hold a lid, decorated front and back with a two-stemmed clover design. 1 1/2" hairline on underside, continuing 1 1/2" up base of jar. A few additional, short hairlines at base. 2" and 3/4" separations in rim. H 11 1/4".
