Very Rare Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Hawk and Rising Sun Scene, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, straight-sided crock with handles, decorated with an artistically slip-trailed design of a hawk with large, well-detailed wings, flying above a scene of sloping hills, three fences, ground cover, and a tree.
